Yep. Now this blog will be on my family webserver. Please continue to follow the inane ramblings of my life at:
Don’t let your parents force you into going to the barbershop.
Due to a slight miscommunication, I walked out of the shop looking like I just stepped out of the ’30s. Damn you, hairspray!
Top Tips are a new series for this blog: a collection of observations on life that I belive the world needs to know. As always, you are entitled to both my opinions and your opinions – however, if you ask me, these Top Tips are so blindingly obvious, if you don’t know them, you’re bloody pathetic.
Anyone who’s met me will agree: i’m one of the whitest people in the world. But just how white is that?
Let’s use the infamous blog Stuff White People Like as a white-o-meter.

So, that’s 77 out of 121…which, by the Universal MySpace Bulletin Law of Cultural Composition, means I’m 63% white. Awesome. I’m going to go watch football.
Rehearsal this week is going well.
Set pieces are being built, things like that
In other news, I’ve got no social life outside of rehearsal. And we’re not even in Tech Week yet. Rather looking forward to it, actually.

When’s the last time you heard one?
ANYWAY.
Happy Winter Break, to all who have one…and to all who don’t, well, piss off and bitch somewhere else.
Don’t know what I’ll do with it yet. Planning is ridiculously over-rated.
It only really applies on weekdays. Whatevs. Don’t really care. Bloody grades.
This weekend’s looking really nice, though. Today – set construction:
- Put handles or eyehooks on…basically everything that moves
- Built a throne out of an armchair from IKEA
- Started building a ground-row to hide the lights hiding the cyc.
- In the process of accomplishing #3, the circular saw started acting weirdly.
- Nobody could fix it.
- As a result of #5, we sent everyone home and bought a new circular saw.
Tomorrow: no rehearsal. Thank god for that — apparently there’s some cheerleading competition, and the place will be swarming with cheerleaders tomorrow. Lucky break, by my standards.

More college emails today – I really need to finish that post about the bullshit that’s in all of them.
I hate Mondays. Hate hate hate hate hate.
Monday morning, waking up, it has to be one of the worst feelings in the world. Weekends, even with rehearsal, I can wake up and feel like I’ve slept enough.
Nothing like the sinking feeling of staring at the clock on the ceiling and realising that it’s 6 AM, and you’re about to waste another day of your life.
That being said, today didn’t go too badly. Half asleep for most of it. Rehearsal – the new set pieces seem to work well. Orchestra – boring as usual.
Sometimes I feel like the weeks start to run together far too much.
No injuries, that’s always nice.
No set-construction-related ones anyway. I’d like to thank Courtney for scratching my arm. Punctured the skin a bit, too.
Construction went well, though. The smaller platforms are nearly complete, the fence is up, and the trapdoor platform is framed out.
Went to the mall later with Molly, Laura, and Mia… Providence Place is so full of weird people. kind of ridiculous. I bought:
- Tonight: Franz Ferdinand – the new album..on vinyl!
- a Led Zeppelin greatest hits collection
- Ágætis Byrjun, my favourite CD from Icelandic band Sigur Rós
- An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
- Looking for Alaska by John Green
- The Beatles – the biography by…someone. can’t remember who.
- A new journal
- Chinese food
All in all, a good weekend so far.
Being in musicals is a good way to save money.
You don’t have time to spend it, that’s why.
In other news, being sick is still boring.
Nearly as boring as not being sick, but still being at home.
Rehearsal all weekend. What fun. A late rehearsal on Friday too, bringing back memories of 42nd street: hastily consumed takeaway meals in the spine.
Here’s a tally of what medications I’ve taken today, and how i’ve felt afterwards.
6:00 AM
2 Tylenol
1 Vitamin C supplement
1 Mucinex tablet
Felt like crap.
Took a nap.
12:00 Noon
2 Tylenol
1 Mucinex tablet
Still felt like crap.
4:00 PM
2 Tylenol
1 Mucinex
1 granola bar
Still felt like crap.
9:00 PM
1 cup of Darjeeling tea
Feeling fantastic.
Take that, pharmecutical companies! India’s worked out a long time ago.
